EATING AT HOME

Our Summer Shape Up focus for this week is to eat at home more often.  By eating at home, you’ll get less calories, less sodium and fat and more nutrition.  I know, eating at home takes more time and effort, but the pay off is worth it.   With a little planning, eating at home doesn’t have to be overly time consuming.  For the time it takes to drive to a restaurant and wait for your order (while you consume 500 calories of appetizers) you’d be able to whip up a quick healthy meal.   It will be healthier for you and it’s good for your family to experience sitting around a dinner table with home made food.

The first step in eating at home is getting to the store!  Kathy Smith has an excellent article on the Beachbody site with tips for shopping for healthy foods.  For the details on this, click the link and learn how you can eat at home more often and benefit your family.
